Festival City Wines Spirits is a family owned company with over 35 years’ experience as wholesale merchants. Our dedicated sales team actively work within these sectors to produce our clients with the superior conceivable products, service and convenience. Our truck fleet is fully owned, and our flexibility means we can tailor make packages for individual customers which we believe is critical to appropriate service. The premises soon became too small, so they shifted operations to Beverley, though these premises were also outgrown, and a property at Woodville West was purchased. Festival City has since opened a place occupied with local and international products, located adjacent to its head office and warehouse. Festival City broadened its portfolio even further by acquiring the Vine Valley Vinegar label, a company with a 100 year history, with the manufacturing plant being relocated to the Albert Park site. This private company had been operated by the same owners for 30 years who dedicated themselves to providing vast products and services. These values aligned with that of Festival City, and so this established a Victorian bottom for Festival and opened the door for further expansion in years to come. In 2010, the business was moved to fresh freehold premises and with potent growth, expanded their services by introducing liquor wholesaling early in 2011. This has felled potent growth within the company and by replicating the one stop destination model established by Festival City Food Liquor, Oz North can now donate a full range of food and liquor products to the hospitality and retail trade in Darwin. At the age of 18 he was the youngest barber in Australia, however he realized that hair dressing was not for him. He then went on to own and operate a pizza prohibit called lick a chic. In 1977 he bought Sarto Liquors, producing liquorsessensesmarsala and importing Italian wines and food. Festival City has since expanded into importing and distributing of desirable Italian products (cheeses, pasta, waters, wines etc) and local SA and Australian products and more recently wines from Fresh Zealand. Over the final scanty years the company has entered into the vinegar business, purchasing the oldest Australian vinegar labels Vine Valley Vinegar, and subsequently expanding the product range. More recently Festival City has opened an extensive cash carry. Along with a passion of viticulture, Don is a man who has dedicated his time to many charitable boards and social groups. A Member of PARC an executive board member of the Down Syndrome Association. These awards are conferred to Italian citizens for outstanding contribution in their field and merit in honor of the Italian state. In 2006 Don was awarded AM, the Medal of the Order of Australia. This was For service to the Italian community, particularly through promoting commerce and industry, and as a supporter of a range of charitable organizations.
