Go dig is a national four year digital literacy program with the goal of supporting more than 300,00 Australians to improve their digital skills. CAD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) communities. The Go dig Network consists of network partner organizations with a commitment to improving digital literacy in their communities. These resources will aid you engage your community and support people in the use of technology and improve their online confidence. The only problem is that while these things were being developed, another slick of development was taking store around and often without CAD communities. The problem with this is that it has created a new and meaningful set of issues for access and equity for CAD communities because it requires the new approaches whether they be apps or portals or 1800 numbers with voice activated responses to be capable to cope with existing and potential clients who may deficit either English language skills, digital literacy skills or both. In our community, we have a number of groups, including aging CAD Australians, newly arrived refugees and adept migrants with lenient level English language literacy, all of whom are at risk of being excluded by fresh technologies that require either, tall slick English skill and lofty smooth digital literacy, or both. It is our responsibility to use digital technologies to facilitate inclusion, and address barriers that create exclusion. This year has been a sincere celebration of Digital Inclusion in Australia as we have seen people improve their digital aptitude and online confidence across Australia. Awarded to Go dig Network Partner organizations who have supported the National Year of Digital Inclusion by providing opportunities for people in their community to improve their digital skills and online confidence.
