The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of SA (PQSA, but also obvious as paraquat SA) has a history of providing services to people living with disability in South Australia for over 50 years and is the apex community body supporting people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) to live their potential. PQSA is a base member of the Australian Spinal Injury Alliance and is represented on many Governments and NCO Committees with respect to disability, service quality, accommodation and workforce development. All proceeds from this service help us to fund our suite of release promote services that are offered across the state. We also rely on the generous urge of the South Australian community to yield these essential services. We treat everyone fairly and with dignity and respect. HomeCare continued to develop with the temporary needs in the community, and maintains its pivotal role in the organization’s service delivery. Today, PQSA is the peak community body supporting people living with Spinal Cord Injury to live their potential and, with its regional expansion, is a truly South Australian community organization. The Paraplegic Quadriplegic Association of SA Inc. (PQSA) recognizes that organizational business activities need to be managed effectively and efficiently to ensure minimal impact on the environment. Review and make recommendations on the Environment and Sustainability policy. PQSA is committed to providing a sound active environment for all employees, volunteers and contractors. Should workplace accidents or illness occur, PQSA is committed to effective injury management and rehabilitation. As President of PQSA, Craig has extensive background in the notforprofit sector. Like most people, he likes to enjoy all that South Australia has to offer, especially its food and wine. Craig has been involved with PQSA since about 2003, and is looking forward to being segment of PQSA’s strategic future, as the Association embarks on valuable lengthy term objectives. Suzanne has experience in the private business sector, local government and NF organizations as well as working in the health industry. Suzanne has been a Board Member of PQSA since 2005. Having lived in regional areas of South Australia for over 40 years, a sea change was had in 2005 when Suzanne moved to the city. Having extensive country experience added to fresh city living experience brings a unique perspective to the table. His clients arrive from the education, primary production, mining exploration, notforprofit and local government sectors, as well as the gaming and hospitality industries. Marissa is charged with developing BB’s market position, contributing to the implementation of BB’s business plan and in particular, working to accomplish increased BB profile and positioning Australia expansive in salary packaging, consulting and other fresh business activities. Her experience spans the law, accounting and IT industries as healthy as industry associations. Marissa is passionate about the NF sector and BB’s role in helping organizations enhance their capacity and sustainability. Since 1963, PQSA has been providing a suite of essential services to the South Australian community to promote our clients and members to live their potential.

PQSA was beginning known as The Paraplegic Association. Its primary role then was as an advocacy group for those who required a wheelchair for their mobility. As demand grew for its services, the Association grew, expanding to work across the state’s south eastern regions and establishing a division in Mount gabbier. Services escalated, the needs of clients and members continued to grow, and by 1985 the organization was qualified to employ paid staff. Near the end of the 80s, the organization introduced HomeCare to its range of services, established an outreach service, and joined the Attendant Care Program. This saw the closure of the training houses, and the outreach services became Support Services providing accommodation and counseling which continue today. HomeCare continued to flourish with the temporary needs in the community, and maintains its pivotal role in the organization’s service delivery. In 2014, the Association re branded and became obvious as PQSA. Today, PQSA is the zenith community body supporting people living with Spinal Cord Injury to live their potential and, with its regional expansion, is a truly South Australian community organization.
